Placement Policy - Aevy Ventures

The Aevy Placement Network connects eligible graduates with professional video production opportunities. This page covers who qualifies, what Aevy provides, and what's expected of you once you're in.

Placement support is a privilege, not a guarantee. Aevy does not guarantee job placement. Access to the Placement Network is merit-based and subject to the eligibility criteria below. The full Placement Policy is published at campus.aevyvideoschool.com/p/placementpolicy and is incorporated into Aevy's Terms of Service in its entirety.

1. Eligibility Criteria

Completion of the program does not automatically qualify you for placement support. To be eligible, you must meet all of the following:

  • Attendance: Attend at least 60% of live sessions during the cohort. Attendance below this threshold may affect eligibility.
  • Quests: Successfully pass and submit at least 7 out of 10 Quests assigned during the cohort.
  • Portfolio: Develop and receive official approval of a portfolio comprising at least 5 distinct, high-quality videos, through iterative feedback with Head Mentors.
  • Corporate Readiness Training: Complete the corporate readiness module conducted by Aevy following portfolio approval. This is mandatory before proceeding to placement support.
  • Placement Application: Submit the Placement Application Form only after receiving portfolio approval and completing the corporate readiness training.

All eligibility criteria must be met. Partial completion does not entitle you to placement support.

2. Duration & Scope of Placement Support
  • Placement support is available for up to 6 months from the official cohort end date.
  • Aevy prioritises full-time employment and internships for eligible students.
  • Freelance opportunities shared in community channels are not verified by Aevy and are engaged with entirely at your own risk.
  • Salary expectations stated in your Placement Application are indicative only. Employers will determine compensation based on market rates and demonstrated skill.
3. Your Responsibilities in the Placement Network

Once admitted to the Placement Network, you are expected to:

  • Be responsive. You must respond to the Placement Team within 7 business days of any communication. Failure to do so may result in a dormancy status, which bars you from placement support until reactivated.
  • Do not bypass the Placement Team. You are strictly prohibited from contacting hiring partners directly without explicit instruction from the Placement Team.
    • First violation: written warning
    • Second violation: permanent removal from the Placement Network
  • Attend your interviews. Two instances of no-showing a scheduled interview without prior notice will result in a 4-month bar from placement support.
  • Respond to offers promptly. You must accept or decline a formal job offer within 48 hours of receipt.
  • Accept suitable offers in good faith. Repeatedly rejecting offers that meet your stated preferences without valid reason may result in removal from the Placement Network.
4. Break Requests

If you need to pause placement support for a valid reason (such as a medical issue or scheduled exams), you may request a break.

  • Maximum total break duration: 20 days
  • A further extension of up to 10 days may be granted at Aevy's sole discretion
  • Approved breaks extend your placement support period by up to 10 additional days
  • Break requests must be submitted to the Placement Team with supporting documentation.
5. Marketing Consent

By applying for and availing of placement support, you consent to Aevy using your success story including your name, role secured, and experience - in community updates, social media, and marketing materials.

6. Discretion & Finality

All decisions relating to eligibility, shortlisting, matching, dormancy, suspension, reactivation, penalties, and continuation or withdrawal of placement support are made at the sole discretion of Aevy and are final and binding.

7. Disclaimer

Aevy gives you the network, the mentorship, and the opportunities. Getting hired from there depends on your portfolio, your skills, and how you perform in interviews.

Aevy is not liable for lost income, missed opportunities, withdrawal of offers, non-selection, or employment-related disputes with hiring partners. Being part of the Placement Network does not make you an employee, agent, or partner of Aevy.
